We have been involved in tattoo removal since 2008. In our center, we work with high-performance nanosecond Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers as well as the most modern world-class picosecond laser - currently the most advanced technology in the field of tattoo removal and permanent makeup. Our devices are approved by the Regional Hygiene Station and allow for the most gentle and safe treatment with minimal risk of scarring or hypopigmentation (so-called white spots).
NOTATTOO ZONE has a unique technological background that is not common in the Czech Republic.
Our equipment also includes cryotechnology (AIR COOLING SYSTEM) – cooling the skin with an air stream of up to –30 °C, which significantly increases comfort during the procedure and reduces pain.
Thanks to special laser heads with wavelengths of 585 nm and 650 nm, we are able to effectively remove even problematic colors such as blue and green, which ordinary centers often cannot solve.
In addition, we are one of the few workplaces in the Czech Republic that specializes in the safe removal of eyeliner, along its entire length – This sensitive technique requires high expertise and experience, which we guarantee.
Finding an effective and safe way to get rid of unwanted tattoos or improperly performed permanent makeup is a challenge that many studios are still grappling with.
Today's medically proven standard is clearly the picosecond laser – and this is exactly the technology we have at NOTATTOO ZONE.
To understand how laser removal works, it is important to first understand how a tattoo (or permanent make-up) is created.
When applying a tattoo or PMU, the pigment is injected deep into the middle layer of the skin with a needle - the dermis. The body perceives this pigment as a foreign substance, but cannot get rid of it naturally. The reason is that the color molecules are too large. The organism therefore wraps them with collagen and fixes them in the skin - so they remain visible even after years.
With the growing popularity of tattoos and PMU, the demand for their modification or complete removal has naturally increased. This is where the picosecond laser comes in, which dermatologists consider to be the most effective and gentle method of removing pigment from the skin.
A picosecond laser is a non-invasive technology that emits extremely short pulses of light - each lasting just a trillionth of a second (i.e. a picosecond). In these short flashes, the laser generates high photoacoustic and gentle thermal energy, which breaks the pigments into microscopic particles. These tiny particles are then gradually washed away by the body's lymphatic system.
The skin cleansing process takes approximately 6-8 weeks - during which time the tattoo or PMU gradually fades.
Lasers work with different wavelengths - each of which is designed to target a specific pigment color and depth in the skin. Black and dark colors are the easiest to remove because they respond to multiple types of wavelengths.
Main advantages of the picosecond laser:
At first glance, it can be difficult for a layperson to tell the difference between a regular Q-switched laser and a modern picosecond laser. Although both technologies work on a similar principle – they break down pigment in the skin using light energy – they differ in pulse speed, energy intensity and the resulting effect.
While a Q-switched laser emits pulses in the order of nanoseconds (billionths of a second), a picosecond laser works with even shorter pulses – picoseconds (trillionths of a second). This extreme speed allows for more precise targeting of the pigment, less thermal stress on the skin and thus a lower risk of scars, burns or hypopigmentation.
In practice, this means that removal is faster, gentler and more effective with a picosecond laser. However, some workplaces provide misleading information and label a regular Q-switched laser as "pico" – even though it is not a real picosecond device.
At NOTATTOO ZONE we use a proven, real picosecond laser of the latest generation, which is among the technological cutting-edge of today.
At NOTATTOO ZONE, we also use modern PFD patches (Perfluorodecalin Patch) for laser tattoo removal and permanent makeup - a cutting-edge technology that significantly increases the effectiveness of the procedure and at the same time reduces its unpleasant symptoms.
During laser treatment, the so-called frosting occurs - a whitish opacity on the skin, which is caused by the release of gas from the broken pigment. This effect normally prevents more than one laser pass during a single treatment.
But the PFD patch solves this problem. A special gel patch impregnated with perfluorodecalin immediately removes the resulting gas, so we can perform 2-4 laser passes during a single procedure, thus:
In addition, it reduces pain, redness and swelling, which is especially crucial when treating sensitive areas – for example eyeliners.
The PFD patch is commonly used in the world's best clinics – and at NOTATTOO ZONE we also have it available for those who want to get the most out of their laser treatment.
The number of treatments required to remove a tattoo varies from case to case – it depends on a number of factors. Typically, 5 to 10 sessions are needed to completely remove a tattoo, sometimes more. In some cases, however, fewer than five sessions may be sufficient.
If the client only wants to lighten the tattoo before covering it with a new motif, 3 to 5 sessions are usually sufficient.
The results and speed of removal are influenced by:
Older or amateur tattoos with lower quality color usually respond better to laser treatment. The removal process occurs in layers – the more saturated and extensive the tattoo, the more sessions will be required. It is also true that the pigment breaks down faster in areas of the body with better blood supply – for example, on the chest. In contrast, tattoos on fingers or toes usually take longer to remove.
The procedure is often compared to the pain of the tattoo itself. To alleviate discomfort, we use cryotechnology, which significantly increases the client's comfort.
Laser pulses can be perceived as a “gentle snapping of a rubber band into the skin“, but thanks to active skin cooling, the treatment is very well tolerated even without the use of anesthetics.
At NOTATTOO ZONE we use the most modern cryo-device, which cools the skin with air flow down to -30 °C. This technology protects the skin from overheating and increases overall comfort during the procedure.
Benefits of cryotechnology:
Lightening of the tattoo with laser and its subsequent COVER UP with a new motif.
Removal - treatment of SMP ( Scalp Micropigmentation - hair tattooing ) with laser.
